Once upon a time, in The United States, in California, in Kern County there was a town called Bakersfield. In Bakersfield and the surrounding areas, there lived the Kit Fox. While the town is still there, over the years many things have changed. The Kit Fox is one of these things. Once an endangered species, the Kit Fox now runs free and plentiful without the risk of extinction. Though small, (so small it’s name literally means baby fox), it has proved to be mighty in resilience. This beautiful comeback story is the foundation of our mission.

Our ingredients are biodegradable and our packaging focuses on sustainability.

Behind the Scenes
Dr. Kit Fox was officially launched in 2026 by a cosmetic chemist named Candice Burnham. She spent years studying and searching for the perfect ingredients while formulating and re-formulating each product until the perfect balance was reached.
Candice grew up in Bakersfield California. She is a trained cosmetic chemist, self taught herbalist, Certified hatha yoga instructor, singer/ songwriter and jewelry artist. She got her start in cosmetic chemistry in 2011 as a working apprentice in Laguna Beach, California. In 2013, she traveled across the USA selling handmade jewelry and busking (playing music on the street for money). She has traveled to Nepal, Europe, Egypt, and Mexico. She even lived in a van at the central coast in California while selling handmade jewelry to the tourists. While she still worked on experiments here and there, in 2022, she got married and started to find her way back to the lab.
At Dr. Kit Fox, Candice is the sole formulator and creator of all of the products. She uses only non-toxic, natural ingredients and sources everything organic when possible. She thoroughly checks each ingredient to ensure only naturally processing has been applied to each ingredient without the use of any synthetics before moving forward with testing. Honesty and integrity are very important at Dr. Kit Fox. Naturally derived ingredients can often times be processed with synthetic ingredients and labeled “Naturally Derived,” without any disclosure about the potential use of synthetic ingredients involved. We don’t want you to just think our products are natural. We want you to know they are.
